Flu vaccinations are now being supplied by your local pharmacy. Protect yourself, protect your family by getting the flu jab.
This NHS service is free to eligible patients.
You don’t need a GP's permission to have a free flu jab in pharmacy.
The service is available without an appointment but we advise that you ring ahead to your local pharmacy to check availability.

Who is eligible for a free flu vaccination?
You can receive a free NHS flu vaccine if you:
Are over 65 (or will turn 65 by 31 March 2020) or
Care for someone whose welfare may be at risk if you fall ill. Carer status may include:
- People aged 18 or over who are in receipt of a carer's allowance
- Those aged 18 or over who are the main carer for an elderly or disabled person
- Home care providers
Are aged over 18 and work as:
- A health or social care worker in a residential or a nursing home or
- A hospice care provider or
If you have any of the medical conditions listed below:
- Are diabetic or
- Have asthma or lung disease or
- Have chronic heart disease or
- Have a chronic kidney or liver condition or
- Have had a stroke or are taking medicines that lower your natural defences.
- Share a home with someone with an impaired immune system
If you are pregnant.
Anyone can catch flu - even if you are fit and healthy.
This pharmacy service is here to keep you and your loved ones as healthy as possible.
If you are not eligible for a free flu jab many pharmacies also offer a private flu vaccination service.
